The Loch Ness Monster
Loch Ness monster is located in the North of Scotland and is one of a series of interlinked lochs which run along the Great Glen. The Great Glen is a distinctive incision which runs across the country and represents a large geological fault zone. The interlinking was completed in the 19th century following the completion of the Caledonian Canal. For many years it has been supposed that there is a large dinosaur-like "monster" resident in Loch Ness. The evidence for its existence are a series of sightings of a plesiosaur-like dinosaur throughout the last 100 years. The case has occasionally been supported by indistinct photographic evidence. If I have the cahnce, I will find the Loch Ness monster by myself!
Animator Miyazaki’s new film hits screens in Japan

Miyazaki is one of Japan’s biggest cultural exports. His last film, “Howl's Moving Castle,” broke opening box office records at home in 2004 before winning a cult following in Western and Asian nations. Asked what animation he is considering next, Miyazaki only said: “I will soon turn 70. I’m now telling myself that I should not talk about things in the future.” I hope that he will continue to make a lot of films and he is very young, so he can make much more people. I love watching animation very much. Perhaps watching cartoons makes me avoid this real world temporarily.
Unconsciousness & Coma
Unconsciousness, more appropriately referred to as loss of consciousness or lack of consciousness, is a dramatic alteration of mental state that involves complete or near-complete lack of responsiveness to people and other environmental stimuli. Being in a comatose state or coma is an illustration of unconsciousness. Fainting due to a drop in blood pressure and a decrease of the oxygen supply to the brain is an illustration of a temporary loss of consciousness.
In medicine, a coma is a profound state of unconsciousness. A comatose person cannot be awakened, fails to respond normally to pain or light, does not have sleep-wake cycles, and does not take voluntary actions.
One day, my roomate got up suddenly and she didn't wake up at all. Wasn't she under the unconsciousness, so she still had the daydream, wasn't she? I hope she can sleep well and don't sit up straight abruptly.

We have only one Earth.

Following the trend of eco-conscious, the automakers also go green. Also, we can see many bicycle's company which increase their outstanding accomplishment gradually such as Giant. I saw a TV program showing their working history and I realized why a traditional industry can be the leading brand in the world. I want to be the one of them. I mean if I become a CEO, I will do my best to make my company stand on the top of the world. Energy saving and carbon reduction is the most important issue that we must do it as fast as possible. After all, the Earth is only one!

UFO?!

"UnidentifiedFlyingObjects " What? Is it a plate or a frisbee? Ha...Unfortunately, we have no evidence to prove this phenomenon. Therefore, we don't know where these pictures come from. Now they probably come from photographic technology and it's really fantastic. Even the specialist can't recognize which one is true or false. I'm very intereted in this kind of issue because I know no one can explain it. Some people think UFO is just the light refraction and others think UFO comes it means something will happen, disaters or Judgment Day. That sounds funny! In the future, perhaps when the earth dies out, the truth will appear.

Issue# 9 Why are yawns contagious?

Bears yawn . Camels yawn. Most mammals yawn. Why do we yawn? No one really knows the answer. We do know that everyone yawns in the same way. First you open your mouth slowly. Your mouth stays open for about five seconds. Then you quickly close your mouth. We also know that yawn is contagious , or catching. When you see someone yawn , you yawn, too. Many people say that they yawn because they are bored or tired. This might be true. However, we know that people also yawn when they are excited or nervous. Olympic runners, for example, often yawn before a race. Why is that?
Some scientists believe that yawning makes you more alert. When you yawn, you breathe more deeply. You also stretch the muscles in your face and neck. Maybe this makes you feel more alert. Scientists don't spend much time studying yawning. That is probably because yawning doesn't hurt. It is just something we do.

Issue # 8 Welcome to the world of Roald Dahl

Roald Dahl , one of the world's most beloved children's authors, but he also had a very successful career writing short stories for adults. After establishing himself as a writer for adults, Roald Dahl began writing children's stories in 1960 while living in England with his family. His first two novels, James and the Giant Peach and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, are now considered classics and both have been made into blockbuster films. He was the winner of England's two most distinguished literary awards, the Whitbread Prize and the Children's Book Award, and seventeen of his works are perennial bestsellers.
Recently, I saw one of his books, James and the Giant Peach. I think it's amazing that he can describe a child's fear so vivid. He not only uses different adjectives to put child's fear into a real situation, but also makes us feel like one of the role in this story. I wish I can do some good works as well as he does.

Issue# 7 Liger & Tigon
tigon
ligerToday I saw an interesting news - liger and tigon . I think tigers and lions are not the same species but biologist can mate a tiger with a lion or a lion with a tiger. What a miracle it is! Tigers are smaller than lions, so tigers usually can't fight with lions. Unexpectedly, they can breed another species. If the father is lion and mother is tiger, their child is liger. If the father is tiger and mother is lion, their child is tigon. The liger is more common than the tigon. The liger is bigger than tigon. In the modern world, our gene manipulation is growing rapidly. Next time, what kind of odd animals will the biologist produce? I don't know but I believe God won't be happy at all...

Issue#6Health surcharge on cigarettes to be increased to NT$20

Some people who have a smoking habit don't agree with this policy . Recently, Government expanded the non-smoking areas in public spaces, so those hard smokers are not easy to find a place to smoke. Although this is a bad news to them, I'm glad to hear that news. Because my dad is a hard smoker, too, we all hope he can quit smoking. And this is a good chance to force him to do so. He wants to quit smoking but I think he has no patience to reach the goal. Each parcel of cigarette costs him NT$70, so he must do it now. I don't want to be a secondhand smoke victim anymore...

It's too dangerous that I probably get a heartbeat and die...These people were so brave to join this dangerous club but I think in their opinion, they want to be a hero something. i don't know what their feeling is when they jump out. It's so exciting and I hope they can survive in this action.

Issue#4 Trans Gender
Recently, I saw a brief note in the restroom. It's about a new vocabulary "TransGender ." I'm very interested in the issue about gender. Because I think everyone has his or her right to decide their gender, we all have the human rights. Although I agree those people who want to change their gender by an operation, in religious doctrine, I don't agree with them. I'm so contradictory to my first opinion. My mom said God creates human beings, so God doesn't want to see people to control their gender by an unnatural way. We have the right of using our body but we don't have the right of body ownership. We can't commit suicide and do the operation of Sex reassignment surgery. Perhaps those people have their secrets which they don't want to reveal. Even though it's not a good idea, we have no power to say anything bad to them.

Issue#3India's Christians celebrate first woman saint
I'm a Catholic so I can feel they honor saints deeply. When my mom told me my English name is Teresa, I feel so surprised and nervous. I'm afraid if I destroy her reputation, I will shame on me. Perhaps "Teresa" is a popular name and I don't need to worry too much. I just respect her brave and kindhearted spirit. I wish I can follow her to be a great person and I want to help those who need to help. Am I a day dreamer? I don't care if people want to laugh at me. I just want to try. You see. Indians have many saints and they want to dedicate their life to help poor people. I think if we are human beings, we will identify with them. Maybe I want to do some significant things. It's not a joke and I hope one day I can do it better. Let's wait and see. May God bless you all. ^^

Issue#2 Taipei City: Taiwan's best place to live
How come? Taipei City was selected the best place to live again. Come on. This city is full of air polution, water polution, noise polution and high consumption. I can't believe why people want to choose it to be the best. They've already known these flaws. Oh, I see. Because the population of Taipei city is the most, the Taipei citizens all vote their hometown.
In my opinion, Hsinchu city is the best. There is no doubt that Hsinchu has a convenient transportation system, more fresher air and cleaner water than Taipei and own a Hsin-chu Science-based Industrial Park. This technological park make Hsinchu's economy growing rapidly and also have low unemployment rate. I think these adventages are enough to support my thought.
Although someone would oppose this idea, I insist that I'm right and they're wrong!

Issue#1 - Typhoon Hagupit alert lifted..Gosh! Again...
Typhoon Hagupit will come and people in Taiwan must notice the weather report. Last Typhoon I believe someone haven't been found by policemen. Every time when I saw that kind of report, I feel scared because of many poor people died. Even though it's not all government's fault, many taiwanese always think their life must be protected by the government. I can't say which one is right or wrong but I think everyone is selfish. They only care about their property but they don't think about how hard the government is. Even "Thank you." they don't want to speak out. When typhoon comes, the only thing we can do is protect our life by ourselves. If everyone can pay attention to every details which may make things worse. We must decrease the harm to the least. I pray to God I wish this disaster won't be so tough to our hometown.
