Issue#4 Trans Gender

Recently, I saw a brief note in the restroom. It's about a new vocabulary "TransGender ." I'm very interested in the issue about gender. Because I think everyone has his or her right to decide their gender, we all have the human rights. Although I agree those people who want to change their gender by an operation, in religious doctrine, I don't agree with them. I'm so contradictory to my first opinion. My mom said God creates human beings, so God doesn't want to see people to control their gender by an unnatural way. We have the right of using our body but we don't have the right of body ownership. We can't commit suicide and do the operation of Sex reassignment surgery. Perhaps those people have their secrets which they don't want to reveal. Even though it's not a good idea, we have no power to say anything bad to them.

It's a complicated and difficult issue. Many religous people do not want to talk about this issue because they are content to say that God made everyone and wants them to be that way. The end.

But since we now know that there is a genetic cause to homosexuality, we know that people are born a certain way and there's nothing they can do about it. So these two ideas are in conflict.

This reminds me, a couple of months ago I saw a picture of a little girl in India. She was born with four arms and four legs. She would have died without surgery. Was it wrong to change her body so she could live? It seems we must say that it was not wrong to let a little girl live. But if you can fix one person's body, why not another. It makes you think...

If you are interested in reading about this girl you can find it here: http://abcnews.go.com/Health/story?id=3831220&page=1

I should warn you though that some people find the pictures very disturbing and uncomfortable to look at.

Oh...It's a kind of strict to that little girl. If the person is her, I will agree her to do surgery.

To jeff's comment...
Huh? There's a genetic cause to homosexuality? I never knew that! How interesting... I've always though that homosexuality was caused by personal decision, not anything innate.
